Overview Standardized Patient position at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, Jonesboro, Arkansas campus. This is a part‑time, temporary hourly position with flexible scheduling (day, week or case). Responsibilities Portray all characteristics of a real patient, simulating signs and symptoms. Be physically examined by students and faculty (non-invasive). Provide constructive feedback to medical students and colleagues. Maintain dependability and punctuality for scheduled assignments. A typical assignment may be 20–30 hours in a week. Follow instructions from the Standardized Patient Educator and consistently simulate a case scenario accurately, reliably, and professionally. Be comfortable with repeated non‑invasive physical examination maneuvers on self. Wear a hospital gown (with undergarments) when observed via camera or live observation. Simulate all aspects of scenarios, including history, affect/behavior, and physical findings, in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner. Accurately and consistently complete checklists. Accept ongoing feedback from facilitators and incorporate it into case simulation. Be willing to be audio‑ and video‑tracked during simulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow directions and communicate written and verbally. Strong reading and writing skills to absorb detailed case training and exam procedural information. Excellent recall of learner performance. Attention to detail. Solid internet connection and intermediate computer skills for training and scheduling. Compensation Competitive hourly wages. Paid training is provided.
