About the Role

At Imerys, our most valuable asset is our people. As our EHS Specialist, you will be the champion of workplace safety and environmental stewardship across our Wurtland plant. This isn't just a desk job—you will be an active, visible leader on the floor, working directly with our teams to build a culture where safety always comes first.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Compliance Efforts: Serve as our primary point of contact and coordinator during federal OSHA and environmental agency inspections.

  • Tech Skills: You are comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and presentation software to track data and present findings.
  • Travel : Approximately 5%

The Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is a hands-on, active role that gets you out of the office and into the heart of our operations. Because we operate an industrial manufacturing facility, you should expect:

  • An Active Workday: You will frequently walk, stand, and navigate the plant floor. You will occasionally climb, bend, stoop, and pull, and you must have the ability to lift and handle objects up to 50 lbs. You will also spend time at a desk, operating a computer and communicating with the team.
  • Industrial Elements: You will work in an environment with moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, odors, and loud noises.
  • Commitment to Protection: Because you may be exposed to potentially dangerous materials and situations, you will lead by example by wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly adhering to extensive safety precautions.
